Katharine Markwick

I’m a LISPA-trained theatre-maker, writer, performer and clown.

I create and perform my own devised work based on new writing - see Hot Ice Theatre - and work as a freelance writer, dramaturg and performer across a range of wide range of theatre and film projects. I also publish the occasional poem under the name Katharine James.

A Fellow of the RSA, I design and lead writing and theatre-based workshops and projects in education and community contexts.

I was born in Barnsley and grew up in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
